Something’s brewing at Somerset Collection

Mad Nice Coffee, from Jeremy Sasson’s Heirloom Hospitality, has officially opened at the Somerset Collection in Troy, bringing its creative energy to Oakland County and joining the brand’s original location in Midtown Detroit. The menu highlights an assortment of savory, sweet, and grab-and-go selections intended to suit early-morning visits, mid-day meetups, and everything in between. Signature items include the Bubbe, layered with scratch-made cream cheese, lox, heirloom tomato, pickled onions, cucumber, fresh herbs, and lemon zest, as well as the G.O.A.T., topped with whipped goat cheese, smashed avocado, candied pepita seeds, and Michigan honey. For those craving something sweeter, the Hazy offers a rich combination of hazelnut spread, dark chocolate shavings, and sea salt. Guests can also browse a rotating selection of freshly baked pastries and confections. A robust specialty coffee program anchors the menu, featuring locally roasted blends and returning favorites like the Toasted Pistachio Latte, Coconut Whipped Espresso, and the Mad Nice “White Cap.” Lighter options include Nitro Matcha on draft, rotating teas, and a curated grab-and-go case filled with bottled matcha, cold brew, seasonal juices, salads, soups and more. “I’m super excited to bring the Mad Nice brand to Oakland County.
