Casa Pasha, a new fine-dining restaurant and cocktail destination, will open November 4 in Rochester Hills, bringing together Japanese culinary techniques and ingredient-driven cooking with refined American dining. The name combines “casa,” meaning house or home, with “pasha,” a historic Ottoman title associated with luxury and hospitality, reflecting the restaurant’s vision of an elevated yet welcoming guest experience. Led by Executive Chef James Henry, Casa Pasha’s menu will feature oysters, sushi and raw preparations, alongside live-fire seafood, prime steaks and American, Australian and Japanese Wagyu. Signature dishes include an oyster trio with rice vinegar mignonette, Sudachi granita and watermelon-mint relish; a tableside coal-smoked Caesar with fresh wasabi, white shoyu and nori panko; and a kombu-aged tomahawk steak cooked over live fire. A Josper charcoal oven and robata grill will anchor the kitchen, bringing distinctive flavor to seafood and beef. The sushi program will showcase multiple cuts of bluefin tuna, including akami, chu-toro and oh-toro, served as nigiri, tartare and maki. The dining experience will be complemented by an extensive cocktail, wine and sake program. Henry’s approach combines classical French richness with Japanese precision and restraint, emphasizing exceptional sourcing, thoughtful technique and meticulous preparation. “Whether we’re preparing whole fish, sushi or a tomahawk over live fire, the goal is the same: exceptional sourcing, thoughtful technique and the patience to do it properly,” Henry said. “I want our guests to experience a new level of luxury in a way that still feels familiar.” 6920 N.
